The subsequent element in this learning path for our consideration is the concept of the spheres to include atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere etc.

In this learning path, it is essential to talk about the concept of Earth system process as rationalized earlier in the learning path 3.15 - Introduction to Data Integration.

3. Earth system processes

We will also look at Data Integration as a concept in this path in order to understand why such process.

This leads us to observation model as an element worth of looking at as an element of this learning path.

5. Observation model

Besides observation model, we also need to know process model as an element in this learning path as stressed earlier in learning path 3.15 -- Introduction to Data Integration.

6. Process model

In this learning path, we will also have a look at the concept of observable, in order to understand the variables of Earth Observation.

7. Observable

Last but not least concept for our discussion under this learning path is the concept of Radiative Transfer model, which describes the relations between physical and biochemical properties of objects.
