Agent based modelling

A modeling and simulation approach applied to a complex system or complex adaptive system, in which the model is comprised of a large number of interacting elements (agents). (Encyclopedia of Complexity and Systems Science, 2009).

Explanation

  1. Formulate purpose : case study review, compare different impact with policy option
  2. Concept mopdel : collect assumption, factor most influence, simplicity as much as possible (focus on relevant process with modelling strategy)
  3. define model : translate entity and relationship of your complex system and in the model entity and process. (who the agent, what are the characteristic, how the environment invented, time represented in the model)
  4. Implement:translate to model structure and process to programming model code
  5. Analyse Model: pattern with 3 steps : validation, analysis of base line, policy scenario. Analyse sensitivity, parameterization, validate model, analysis uncertainty.
  6. Comon cycle model: find revise mistakes
