[PP1-1] EM radiation

The electromagnetic field propagates through the space radiating energy: the electromagnetic radiation. The classical theory describes this energy as electromagnetic waves which represent the oscillations of electric and magnetic fields. In the quantum mechanics theory EM radiation consists of photons, quanta of the electromagnetic force, responsible for all electromagnetic interactions
