[OI2-2] GIS and T staff development and evaluation

Making sure staff members have the necessary skills and competences to perform geospatial activities is necessary for an effective implementation and operation of GI within an organizations. Several training methods can be adopted to ensure the development of skills and competencies of staff members. A distinction can be made between formal and informal training, but also between internal and external training programs. Another relevant issue is the assessment and evaluation of the skills and competences of staff members, to determine their future training and development needs.
