The basic design components which are added to the model.
Introduction
There are 11 different concepts which are part of Design concepts:
Basic Theories : What are the theories, concepts or approaches are being used in the modelling design. Most information is gathered from the literature.
Emergence : Behaviour or traits which are not programmed but rather developed as a result of individual agents. E.g.: patterns, behavior, structures.
Adaptation : The adaptive traits displayed by the individual agents. Adaption is dependent on what decision the agents take based on their environment or a change observed in themselves.
Objectives : The objectives under Design concepts defines the objective which is defined based on the adaptive traits of the individual agents.
Learning : Learning of an agent is dependent on their experiences. The agents are subject to changes in their adaptive traits over time due to experiences gained over.
Prediction : Prediction derived from any model is based on previous analysis run and patterns observed.
Sensing : Sensing is performed from an agent's perspective to provide variables, either internal or environmental, which should be considered in the decision making.
Interaction : The type of interactions which we assume the agents will have among themselves.
Stochasticity : Refers to the randomness assumed in the model. The processes which are inserted into the model with the idea that it would be a random event.
Collectives : The individual agents which behaves in similar manner or has similar effect on the model simulation. Collectives are a group made of individual agents. It can both be predeisgned into the model or can develop during model simulations.
Observation : Observations are data collected or observed while running the Agent-Based Model. These are the results which you want to analyse from the model created.
