[IP3-12] Uncertainty

Uncertainty is the result of the lack or imprecision of our knowledge about the world. A proposition is uncertain if we do not know whether it is true or not. In most circumstances we describe a proposition as uncertain when the reason we do not know whether it is true is that we do not possess complete and accurate knowledge about the state of the world.
