Multi-hazard refers to the selection of multiple major hazards that a country faces, and the specific contexts where hazardous events may occur simultaneously, cascadingly or cumulatively over time, and taking into account the potential interrelated effects. Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MHEWS) are integrated systems which allow people to know that hazardous weather or climate events are on their way, and inform how governments, communities and individuals can act to minimize impacts.
