[TA14-2-1-4] Vector fields

Vector fields capture the movement directions of locations on a continuous surface, e.g. of the ocean, or in a 3D grid of locations, e.g. of the atmosphere. The atmosphere and the ocean are highly dynamic features. Vector fields are used to represent wind directions and current movement directions. Further vector fields derived from EO data include geoid undulation / gravity maps.
