[CV3-8] Storytelling

Maps are valuable because they provide a large amount of detail in a small amount of space, and because of their capacity for telling a story. Telling stories through maps began with describing explored lands in great detail against terra incognita. Today, geographic tools, data, and multimedia on the web expand the ability and audience for storytelling through maps, being animated maps of particular interest. Any person with a smartphone or computer can use maps to tell a story, using live web maps completed with text, video, audio, sketches, and photographs.
