[PP2-3-7-4] Antenna footprint

The beam sent out by the radar antenna (SLAR for side-looking airborne radar or SLR for side-looking radar) illuminates an area on the targeted object. The footprint of an antenna is traditionally defined to be the area on the surface within the field of view subtended by the beamwidth of the antenna gain pattern.
