Garden design
Before you start to create your garden, it is good practice to create a map, showing the elements of your garden. This is referred to as a garden design.
Introduction
A garden design is often a map, drawn to scale, of your garden in which you indicate which element should go where.
If you want you can apply color to indicate which plants are evergreen and will also be visible in winter, and which plants will die back.

Here, you see an example of a graden design. You notice that we see a tree a hedge, pavement and shrubs.
The design is for my driveway and different types of pavement are indicated.
