There are trees in different sizes: small, medium-sized and large trees. In a garden, it is essential to select a tree that fits the space you have available.
Trees can provide interest to your garden in different ways: via the color of the leaves, via flowers but also via fruits. 
Reasons to add trees to a garden can be to add a "roof". Under a try, you develop a special sitting area where you can feel sheltered.
When selecting a garden tree, first decide if this tree needs to be an evergreen tree or a deciduous tree. In case you want to hide some less attractive sight, you may opt for an evergreen tree.

I garden is full of trees, and many are large mature trees. The only tree we planted so far is the young Magnolia tree that you see below.
