In post-classification comparison, the images are classified separately and classifications at different dates are compared. The advantages of this technique are the min-imization of atmospheric influences and the fact that it generates a complete change matrix. The disadvantages are that sufficient training data are needed for each classification (date) and that there might be systematic differences between both classifications.
